Method

Beef Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, combine the beef sirloin, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Mix well to coat the beef evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Beef

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated beef for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the beef is marinating, thinly slice the cucumber, red onion, and tomato. Set aside.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash the lettuce leaves and tear them into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a large serving bowl.

Yum Neau Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together the fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, chili flakes, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro until the sugar dissolves.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Dish

On the bed of lettuce, arrange the sliced grilled beef, cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes. Drizzle the Yum Neau sauce over the top and toss gently to combine.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your Yum Neau dish!
