Marinate the Steak
In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch. Mix well. Add the steak, making sure it is fully coated in the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Make the Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine the reserved marinade with 2 tablespoons of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Stir until the mixture thickens slightly, then remove from heat and set aside.

Stir-fry the Vegetables
In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Then add the bell peppers and string beans, and continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Combine Everything
Add the sliced steak to the stir-fried vegetables. Pour the thickened sauce over the mixture and toss everything together to coat well. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
Serving

Garnish and Serve
Transfer the Thai steak stir-fry to a serving platter. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
