For the Breaded Chicken

For the Vegetables

Method

For the Breaded Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Bread the Chicken

In a bowl, beat the egg. Dip each piece of chicken in the egg, then coat with gluten-free breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chicken

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, fry the breaded chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

For the Vegetables

  1. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a separate pan, add a small amount of oil and heat over medium heat. Add the sliced bell pepper, onion, pea pods, and julienned carrots. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.

For the Sweet Sauce

  1. 5

    Prepare the Sauce

In a bowl, mix together the gluten-free soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water until well combined.

  2. 6

    Combine Everything

Pour the sweet sauce over the sautéed vegetables and stir well. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  3. 7

    Finish the Dish

Add the fried chicken pieces to the pan with the vegetables and sauce. Toss everything together to coat the chicken in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  4. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve hot.
