Preparation

  1. 1

    Chop Vegetables

Slice the red and green bell peppers into thin strips. Thinly slice the onion. Drain and rinse the bamboo shoots and water chestnuts, then slice them into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Make Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, vegetable broth, and cornstarch until well combined. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Stir-Fry Vegetables

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  2. 4

    Add Bell Peppers and Onions

Add the sliced red and green bell peppers and onion to the skillet. Stir-fry for approximately 3-4 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.

  3. 5

Add Bamboo Shoots and Water Chestnuts

Add the bamboo shoots and water chestnuts to the skillet. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.

  4. 6

Pour the prepared sauce over the stir-fried vegetables. Stir well to coat all ingredients and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  5. 7

    Finish and Serve

Drizzle with sesame oil, add salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and serve hot.
