Preparation

Prepare the Vegetables
Wash the Thai basil leaves thoroughly and set them aside. Slice the bell pepper into thin strips. Chop the onion into small pieces and mince the garlic cloves.
Cooking
- 2
Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. Set aside.
- 3
Stir-Fry the Vegetables
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion, and stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- 4
Add Bell Peppers
Add the sliced bell pepper to the skillet and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the peppers start to soften.
- 5
Combine with Sauce
Pour the prepared sauce over the vegetables in the skillet. Stir well to coat all the vegetables and bring to a simmer.
- 6
Add Thai Basil
Once the sauce is bubbling, add the Thai basil leaves. Stir gently for about 1-2 minutes until the basil is wilted and the sauce thickens slightly.
