Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Shrimp
Peel and devein the jumbo shrimp. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Chop Vegetables
Slice the green bell pepper and onion into thin strips. Set aside along with bamboo shoots and bean sprouts.
Cooking
- 3
Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Mix until smooth and set aside.
- 4
Stir-fry the Vegetables
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and green bell pepper and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
- 5
Add Bamboo Shoots and Bean Sprouts
Add bamboo shoots and bean sprouts to the skillet. Continue to stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until heated through.

Cook the Shrimp
Push the vegetables to the side of the skillet and add remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the jumbo shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.
- 7
Combine and Stir-fry
Pour the sauce over the shrimp and vegetables. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp and vegetables evenly.
