Frog Legs
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Frog Legs
Rinse the frog legs under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. Dip the frog legs in the egg mixture, then dredge them in the flour mixture until well coated.
- 3
Fry the Frog Legs
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the battered frog legs in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 4
Prepare the Thai Basil Sauce
In a blender or food processor, combine Thai basil leaves, garlic cloves, soy sauce, lime juice, and sugar. Blend until smooth.
- 5
Serve
Drizzle the Thai basil sauce over the fried frog legs or serve it on the side for dipping.
