Blondie Base

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugars

In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, chopped pecans, and white chocolate chips.

  6. 6

    Combine Wet and Dry

Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

  7. 7

    Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  8. 8

    Cool

Allow the blondies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Ice Cream

  1. 9

    Whip Cream

In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.

  2. 10

    Combine Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until combined.

  3. 11

    Fold Together

Gently fold the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture until fully combined.

  4. 12

    Freeze

Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Caramel Sauce

  1. 13

    Make Caramel

In a medium saucepan, heat the granulated sugar over medium heat until it melts and turns a light amber color.

  2. 14

    Add Butter

Carefully add the unsalted butter and stir until melted and combined.

  3. 15

    Add Cream

Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously until smooth.

  4. 16

    Add Salt

Add a pinch of salt, stir, and remove from heat. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

    Prepare Crumble

In a food processor, crush the speculoos cookies until fine crumbs form.

  2. 18
