Brownie Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

Melt Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter. Once melted, remove it from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

Mix Sugars
Stir in 1.5 cups of granulated sugar and 0.5 cups of brown sugar into the melted butter until well combined.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add 4 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 0.75 cups of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 tsp of salt.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.

Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips into the brownie batter.

Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool Brownies
Remove from the oven and allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
Serving

Prepare the Brownie Royale
Place one brownie square on a serving plate. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Add Toppings
Drizzle chocolate sauce over the ice cream and brownie. Add whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate shavings if desired.

Serve immediately while the brownie is warm and the ice cream is cold.
