Brownie Base

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Melt Butter
In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Mix Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Pour the melted butter into the sugars and mix until well combined.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

Bake Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.

Prepare Ganache
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and stir in the caramel sauce and chocolate chips until smooth and well combined.

Cool Ganache
Allow the ganache to cool slightly before using it to top the brownies.

Assemble Dessert
Once the brownies have cooled, cut them into squares. Place a brownie square on a serving plate, top with a scoop of Irish cream ice cream, drizzle with caramel ganache, and sprinkle with almond toffee.
