Fried Green Beans

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Green Beans

Wash the green beans and trim the ends. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, the beaten eggs in the second bowl, and mix the bread crumbs with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in the third bowl.

  3. 3

    Bread the Green Beans

Dredge each green bean first in the flour, shaking off the excess. Then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the bread crumb mixture. Set aside on a plate.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pan or fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Green Beans

Carefully add the breaded green beans to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve hot with Creole Remoulade for dipping.
