Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Mixture

In a large bowl, gently combine the lump crab meat, claw crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, and chopped green onions. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  2. 2

    Add Breadcrumbs

Fold in the breadcrumbs until the mixture holds together. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Form the Cakes

Shape the mixture into two crab cakes, about 1 inch thick.

  4. 4

    Preheat the Broiler

Preheat your broiler to high and place an oven rack about 6 inches from the heating element.

  5. 5

    Broil the Crab Cakes

Place the crab cakes on a broiler-safe pan. Dot the tops with butter. Broil for about 6-8 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cakes are heated through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Back Bay Crab Cakes!
