Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time.

Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the chocolate chips.

Scoop and Bake
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
