Method

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt.

  2. 2

    Cook Penne

Add the penne pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 10-12 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.

Preparing Seafood and Sauce

  1. 4

    Sauté Shrimp and Scallops

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Then add the shrimp and scallops and cook for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and the scallops are opaque.

  2. 5

    Make Creamy Sauce

Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream into the skillet with the seafood. Stir well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  3. 6

    Add Cheese and Seasoning

Stir in 0.5 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

  4. 7

    Combine with Pasta

Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the creamy sauce.

  5. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
