Method
Cooking the Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt.

Cook Penne
Add the penne pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 10-12 minutes.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.
Preparing Seafood and Sauce

Sauté Shrimp and Scallops
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Then add the shrimp and scallops and cook for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and the scallops are opaque.

Make Creamy Sauce
Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream into the skillet with the seafood. Stir well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Add Cheese and Seasoning
Stir in 0.5 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

Combine with Pasta
Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the creamy sauce.

Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
