Chicken Chesapeake

Fried Clam Strips

Method

Chicken Chesapeake

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with Old Bay seasoning on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Make the Crab Mixture

In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, then lower the heat and add softened cream cheese, stirring until melted and combined. Stir in crab meat, mozzarella, and lemon juice until well mixed.

  4. 4

    Combine and Bake

Place the cooked chicken breasts in a baking dish and top with the crab mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Shrimp

  1. 5

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat evenly.

  2. 6

    Cook the Shrimp

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the marinated shrimp. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.

Fried Clam Strips

  1. 7

    Prepare the Breading

In a shallow bowl, mix together flour, cornmeal, and salt. In another bowl, place the beaten eggs.

  2. 8

    Bread the Clam Strips

Dip each clam strip into the egg, then dredge in the flour-cornmeal mixture until fully coated.

  3. 9

    Fry the Clam Strips

In a deep skillet or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the clam strips in batches for about 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
