Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Shrimp

Rinse the wild caught shrimp under cold water to clean. Remove shells and devein if not already done.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Steamer

Fill a large pot with 2 cups of water and place a steamer basket inside the pot.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Steam the Shrimp

Bring the water in the pot to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, add the cleaned shrimp to the steamer basket, sprinkle the Old Bay seasoning evenly over the shrimp, and cover with a lid.

  2. 4

    Cook

Steam the shrimp for 3-5 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate the Shrimp

Carefully remove the steamer basket from the pot and transfer the shrimp to a serving platter. Optional: garnish with lemon wedges and chopped fresh parsley.

  2. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot, and enjoy your Old Bay steamed shrimp!
