Burger Patties

Toppings

Method

Prepare the Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned.

  3. 5

    Flip and Add Cheese

Flip the patties and add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until the cheese melts and the patties reach your desired doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 6

    Prepare Jalapenos

Slice the jalapeno peppers into thin rings. If you prefer less heat, remove the seeds before slicing.

  2. 7

    Slice Tomato

Cut the tomato into thin slices.

Assemble the Burgers

  1. 8

    Toast the Buns

Optional: Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.

  2. 9

    Assemble

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheddar, jalapeno rings, and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
