Steak Skewers

Onion Rings

Method

Steak Skewers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Cut the sirloin steak into 1-inch cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Add olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the steak cubes. Toss to coat evenly.

  3. 3

    Skewer the Steak

Thread the marinated steak cubes onto the skewers, ensuring they are packed tightly but not overcrowded.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until desired doneness is reached.

Salad

  1. 5

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and dry the mixed salad greens. Halve the cherry tomatoes, slice the cucumber, and thinly slice the red onion.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Salad

In a large salad bowl, combine the salad greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.

  3. 7

    Add Cheese and Dressing

Sprinkle blue cheese crumbles over the top of the salad and drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Toss gently to combine.

Onion Rings

  1. 8

    Slice the Onion

Peel the onion and slice it into 1/2-inch thick rings. Separate the rings from each other.

  2. 9

    Prepare the Breading

Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg mixed with milk, and one with cornmeal combined with salt and pepper.

  3. 10

    Bread the Onion Rings

Dip each onion ring first in the flour, then in the egg mixture, and finally in the cornmeal, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  4. 11

    Fry the Onion Rings

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded onion rings in batches for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
