Cocktail Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Glass
Begin by chilling a rocks glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.
- 2
Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, combine the gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari in equal parts. Use a jigger for precise measurements.
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass or shaker with ice cubes until it's about three-quarters full. This will chill and dilute the drink.
- 4
Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds. This will ensure the ingredients are well combined and chilled.
- 5
Strain into Glass
Remove the ice water from the chilled rocks glass and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass, using a fine mesh strainer to catch any ice shards.
- 6
Garnish
Express the oils from the orange peel over the cocktail by twisting it, then place it into the drink as a garnish.
- 7
Serve
Your Negroni is now ready to serve. Enjoy responsibly!
