Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Batter

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined.

  3. 3

    Heat the Skillet

In a 10-inch cast iron skillet or oven-safe pan, melt the butter over medium heat until it is bubbling and slightly brown.

  4. 4

    Cook the Dutch Baby

Pour the batter into the hot skillet, making sure to evenly distribute it. Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and puffed up.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the skillet from the oven. Dust the top with powdered sugar and serve immediately with maple syrup, and add fresh berries and whipped cream if desired.
