Method

Biscuit Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Biscuits

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the milk just until combined. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Roll out to about 1-inch thick and cut out biscuits. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.

Gravy Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Gravy

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned. Remove sausage and drain excess fat, leaving about 2 tablespoons in the skillet. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

Eggs and Potatoes

  1. 3

    Cook the Eggs and Potatoes

In another skillet, cook breakfast potatoes until crispy and golden. In the same or another skillet, prepare the eggs to your liking (fried, scrambled, etc.).

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Dish

To serve, place two biscuits on a plate, top with sausage gravy, and add the cooked eggs. Serve alongside the breakfast potatoes and sausage patties.
