Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Noodles

Cook the udon noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Slice the Beef

Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain.

  3. 3

    Chop the Vegetables

Chop the broccoli into florets, julienne the carrot, slice the bell pepper, and chop the green onions.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Aromatics

Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with soy sauce and sesame oil. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.

  2. 6

    Stir-Frying

In a large frying pan or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  3. 7

    Cook the Vegetables

In the same pan, add a bit more oil if necessary. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then add the chopped broccoli, carrot, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

  4. 8

    Combine and Season

Return the cooked beef to the pan along with the cooked udon noodles. Toss everything together and season with black pepper to taste. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  5. 9

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot.
