Noodles Preparation
1. Boil the Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water.
2. Cook the Noodles
Add 8 oz of spaghetti or ramen noodles to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
3. Drain the Noodles
Once cooked, drain the noodles in a colander and set aside. Do not rinse.
Garlic Sauce Preparation
4. Heat the Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
5. Sauté the Garlic
Add 6 minced garlic cloves to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.
6. Add Sauces and Seasoning
Stir in 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons of butter, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix well and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
7. Combine Noodles and Sauce
Add the drained noodles to the skillet with the garlic sauce. Toss well to coat the noodles evenly with the sauce, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
8. Garnish
Slice the green onions and sprinkle them over the noodles. Serve immediately while hot.
