Method
Pasta Preparation
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and the fettuccine pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 10-12 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
Chicken and Broccoli Preparation
- 2
Cook the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breast with salt and black pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.

Alfredo Sauce Preparation
- 4
Make the Sauce
In a saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add 1 cup of heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1 teaspoon of nutmeg. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a bit of pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
