Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Crab Mixture
In a large bowl, gently combine the lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, Old Bay seasoning, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- 2
Form the Cakes
Gently fold in the bread crumbs until the mixture holds together. Form the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter.
- 3
Chill the Patties
Place the formed crab cakes on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape while cooking.
- 4
Cook the Crab Cakes
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5
Serve
Serve the crab cakes hot, accompanied by creole mustard for dipping.
