Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filet Mignon

Season the filet mignon with salt, black pepper, and paprika on both sides. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Filet

Once the oil is hot, add the filet mignon to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Filet

Remove the filet from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Lobster Tail

While the filet is resting, prepare the lobster tail. Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell of the lobster tail down the middle, being careful not to cut the meat.

  5. 5

    Broil the Lobster

Gently pull the shell apart to expose the lobster meat. Brush the meat with melted butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place under the broiler for 8-10 minutes or until the meat is opaque and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Make Au Jus

In the same skillet used for the filet, add beef broth and minced garlic. Bring to a simmer, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom. Let it reduce for about 5 minutes.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the sliced filet mignon with the broiled lobster tail, au jus on the side, and melted butter for dipping.
