Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine lemon juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Prime Rib

Season the prime rib with salt and black pepper. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the prime rib in a roasting pan and roast for about 20 minutes per pound for medium-rare, or until it reaches the desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. 4

Make the Garlic Butter Cream Sauce

In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute. Then, add the heavy cream and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Serve

Slice the prime rib and serve it with the cooked shrimp on the side. Drizzle the garlic butter cream sauce over the top and serve with au jus.
