Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Prime Rib

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Rub the prime rib with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Place it in a roasting pan.

  2. 2

    Roast the Prime Rib

Roast the prime rib in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then lower the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting for an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Lobster Tail

While the prime rib is roasting, prepare the lobster tail. Use kitchen scissors to cut the top shell lengthwise. Gently pull the meat out and lay it on top of the shell. Season with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of melted butter.

  4. 4

    Cook the Lobster Tail

In the last 15 minutes of the prime rib cooking time, place the lobster tail in the oven. Cook until the meat is opaque and cooked through.

  5. 5

    Make the Au Jus

In a saucepan, heat the beef broth and add any drippings from the prime rib. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the prime rib and serve it with the lobster tail, au jus, and melted butter on the side.
