Sausage Links

Sautéed Onions and Green Peppers

Garlic Bread

Optional Meat Sauce

Method

  1. 1

In a large bowl, combine ground pork, ground beef, and pork fat. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well until fully combined.

  2. 2

If using sausage casings, rinse them thoroughly and soak them in water. Stuff the sausage mixture into the casings, twisting them into 4 equal links. If not using casings, simply form four patties.

  3. 3

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little oil and cook the sausage links for about 10-12 minutes, turning regularly, until fully cooked and browned.

Sautéing Onions and Green Peppers

  1. 4

    Prepare Vegetables

Slice the onion and green bell pepper into thin strips.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Vegetables

In another skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and green pepper, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and lightly caramelized.

Making Garlic Bread

  1. 6

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.

  2. 7

    Toast the Bread

Spread the garlic butter mixture on both sides of the French bread slices and toast in a skillet or under the broiler until golden brown.

Optional Meat Sauce

  1. 8

    Brown the Ground Beef

In a saucepan over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked.

  2. 9

    Add Tomato Sauce

Stir in the tomato sauce and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
