Method
Chicken Marinade Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Mix well.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 4
Assembling the Sub
- 5
Prepare the Sub Rolls
Slice the sub rolls lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through. Lightly toast on the grill if desired.
- 6
Add Fillings
On the bottom half of each sub roll, layer the shredded lettuce and sliced tomato. Slice the grilled chicken breasts into strips and place on top of the vegetables.
- 7
Add Dressing
Drizzle your choice of dressing over the chicken and top with the other half of the sub roll.
