Manicotti Preparation

Cook Manicotti
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add manicotti pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool.

Prepare Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped basil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff Manicotti
Using a spoon or a piping bag, carefully fill each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture.

Arrange in Baking Dish
Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Place stuffed manicotti on top and cover with remaining marinara sauce. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
