Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

Take each shrimp and make a slit along the back without cutting all the way through. Insert a stick of Monterey Jack cheese into each slit.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second, and bread crumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in the third.

  3. 3

    Bread the Shrimp

Dip each stuffed shrimp first in the flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the bread crumbs. Ensure they are fully covered.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.

  5. 5

    Fry the Shrimp

Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fried shrimp from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
