Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Peppers
Slice the spicy peppers into thin rings, removing seeds if desired for less heat.
- 2
Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3
Cook the Peppers
Add the sliced spicy peppers to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to soften.
- 4
Add Tomatoes and Spices
Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- 5
Slow Cook the Marinara
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 6
Serve
Once cooked, remove from heat and serve the hot peppers marinara over pasta, rice, or as a topping for grilled meats. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese.
