Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Add Nuts and Dried Fruit
Fold in the chopped nuts and dried fruit to the dry mixture.
- 4
Combine Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, beat 3 large eggs and add them to the dry mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
- 5
Shape the Dough
Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a log about 12 inches long. Place the logs on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart.
- 6
Bake First Time
Bake the logs in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until lightly golden.
- 7
Cool and Slice
Remove from the oven and let the logs cool for about 10 minutes. Slice the logs diagonally into 1/2-inch thick slices.
- 8
Bake Second Time
Arrange the slices cut-side down on the baking sheet and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes, until crisp.
- 9
Cool and Serve
Let the biscotti cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
