Fried Artichoke Hearts
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Artichoke Hearts
If using canned artichoke hearts, drain and rinse them. If using frozen, thaw them and pat dry.
- 2
Make the Flour Mixture
In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- 3
Dust the Artichokes
Dredge each artichoke heart in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- 5
Fry the Artichokes
Carefully add the coated artichoke hearts to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the fried artichoke hearts and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve warm, garnished with roasted red peppers and alongside homemade ranch dressing.
