Grilled filet in a marsala wine cream sauce with mushrooms served with pasta marinara

Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Pasta

Season the filet mignon with salt and black pepper. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the filets and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from the skillet and let rest.

Sear the Filet Mignon

In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and sauté until browned. Pour in the Marsala wine and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes, scraping up any browned bits. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens. Add the chopped parsley.

Make the Marsala Wine Cream Sauce

In a separate pot, heat the marinara sauce. Once warmed, mix in the cooked pasta until well coated.

Combine with Marinara

Plate the marinara pasta and top with the grilled filet mignon. Drizzle the marsala wine cream sauce over the filet and garnish with additional parsley if desired.
