Method
Preparation and Baking
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a small bowl, combine warm water, honey (or sugar), and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine gluten-free pizza flour blend and salt.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add more flour as needed.
- 4
Knead and Rest
Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 5
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
- 6
Roll Out the Dough
On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a 10-inch circle. Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 7
Add Sauce and Toppings
Spread the pizza sauce over the crust, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and add any additional toppings you desire.
- 8
Bake the Pizza
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 9
Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
