Prepare the Pork
Season the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Rub the spices all over the meat.

Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and easily pulled apart.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the cooker and mix it with barbecue sauce. Let it warm for an additional 15 minutes.

Prepare the Sandwiches
Toast the soft sandwich rolls lightly. Fill each roll with the pulled pork mixture and top with additional barbecue sauce, if desired.

Serve the pulled pork sandwiches with fries and pickle slices on the side.
