Directions

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.

2

Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt over a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth and combined.

3

Mix in Sugar and Eggs

Remove the melted chocolate mixture from heat. Stir in the granulated sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract and sea salt.

4

Bake the Torte

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly soft.

5

Cool and Serve

Allow the torte to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. Dust with cocoa powder before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
