Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped pepperoni, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
- 2
Roll Out the Dough
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.
- 3
Cut the Dough
Cut the rolled-out dough into rectangles, approximately 4 inches by 6 inches.
- 4
Fill the Dough
Place a generous spoonful of the cheese and pepperoni mixture onto one end of each rectangle. Roll the dough tightly around the filling and seal the edges by pinching them together.
- 5
Prepare for Frying
Dip each pizza log in the beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until hot.
- 7
Fry the Pizza Logs
Carefully place the coated pizza logs in the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- 8
Drain and Serve
Remove the pizza logs from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
