Meatball Hoagie Ingredients
Method
Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- 2
Form the Meatballs
Shape the meat mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter. You should have approximately 14-16 meatballs.
- 3
Cook the Meatballs
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the meatballs. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- 4
Add Sauce
Once the meatballs are cooked, pour the Anchor Bar pasta sauce over them in the skillet. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the meatballs to soak up the sauce.
- 5
Prepare Hoagie Rolls
While the meatballs are simmering, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet.
- 6
Assemble the Hoagies
Spoon the meatball and sauce mixture into each hoagie roll. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 7
Bake the Hoagies
Bake the assembled hoagies in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 8
Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious Meatball Hoagies!
