Home-Fried Potatoes Ingredients

Method

Home-Fried Potatoes Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into small cubes or wedges, about 1-inch in size.

  2. 2

    Soak the Potatoes (Optional)

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat them dry.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  4. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil in a single layer. Fry for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5

    Add Onions and Seasoning

Add chopped onions to the skillet during the last 5 minutes of frying. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
