Prepare the Cranberries
Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water, removing any stems or damaged berries.

Cook the Cranberries
In a large pot, combine the rinsed cranberries and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and softened.

Strain the Mixture
Using a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the mixture into a large bowl, pressing the cranberries to extract as much juice as possible.
