Meatball Sub Ingredients
Method
Preparation Instructions
- 1
Make the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form and Cook the Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Form the meat mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
- 3
Heat the Sauce
While the meatballs are baking, heat the tomato sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.
- 4
Assemble the Sub
Slice the Gambino loaf lengthwise. Place meatballs inside the loaf, pour sauce over the meatballs, and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 5
Melt the Cheese
Place the assembled sub in the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 6
Serve
Slice the meatball sub and serve with your choice of fries, soup, or salad.
