1. Prepare the Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheese, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

2. Add Wet Ingredients

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter should be thick.

3. Heat the Oil

In a deep pan or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

4. Fry the Fritters
