Method

Prepare the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Sprinkle both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper. Allow them to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to high heat. Brush the steaks with olive oil and place them on the grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes.

Prepare the French Fries

  1. 3

    Cut the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 4

    Soak and Dry the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.

  3. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then season with salt.

Prepare the Herb Butter

  1. 6

    Make the Herb Butter

In a bowl, mix softened unsalted butter with chopped parsley, chopped thyme, and minced garlic until well combined. Place the mixture on a piece of parchment paper, roll it into a log, and refrigerate until firm.
