Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

Mix Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.

Heat the Griddle
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt a small amount of butter to coat the surface.

Cook the Pancakes
Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Keep Warm
If making multiple pancakes, keep the cooked pancakes warm in a preheated oven at 200°F (93°C) while you finish cooking the rest.
