Turkey Melt
Method
Prep
- 1
Slice the tomato into two thin rounds and set aside.
- 2
If needed, shred the cooked turkey into bite-sized pieces.
Assemble
- 3
Butter one side of each bread slice (about 1 tablespoon per sandwich, total 2 tablespoons). Place bread slices buttered-side-down on a clean surface.
- 4
Evenly distribute 1 cup of turkey on each sandwich.
- 5
Top each with 2 slices Swiss cheese.
- 6
Add a tomato slice on each sandwich (two slices total from the tomato, use one per sandwich).
- 7
Cap with the remaining bread slices, buttered sides facing out.
Cook
- 8
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwiches 3-4 minutes per side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve
- 9
Let sandwiches rest 1 minute, then cut each in half and serve immediately.
