Extras

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

Scrub potatoes clean. Cut into even-length fries. Rinse briefly and pat dry.

  3. 3

Optional: soak cut fries in cold water for 15–30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain thoroughly and pat dry.

  4. 4

In a large bowl, toss the potato fries with olive oil until evenly coated.

  5. 5

Add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ranch seasoning mix, and salt to the potatoes; toss to coat evenly.

  6. 6

Spread fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until crisp and golden brown.

  7. 7

Remove from oven. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the hot fries; return to oven for 1–2 minutes to melt lightly.

  8. 8

Prepare the ranch dipping sauce: in a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Stir in dried dill, garlic powder (dip), and onion powder (dip). Season dip with salt 0.25 tsp and ground black pepper 0.25 tsp.

  9. 9

Serve the hot ranch fries with the creamy ranch dipping sauce on the side.
