BBQ Grilled Chicken Baker

Method

BBQ Grilled Chicken Baker

  1. 1

    Preheat and Prep

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment or lightly grease a baking dish.

  2. 2

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions, red and green peppers. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sauté 4-6 minutes until slightly softened.

  3. 3

    Add Mushrooms and Garlic

Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic; cook 2-3 minutes more until mushrooms soften and release moisture.

  4. 4

    Sear Beef

In a separate skillet, quickly sear the thinly sliced beef until browned on the outside but not fully cooked through, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in BBQ sauce to coat evenly.

  5. 5

    Combine and Cheese

Pour the cooked beef into the vegetable mixture and remove from heat. Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheese until melted and well distributed.

  6. 6

    Prepare Pastry and Layer

Roll out puff pastry to fit your pan. Spoon the beef-vegetable mixture onto the pastry, leaving about a 1-inch border. Top with the remaining cheese. Fold the pastry edges over to create a crust and brush with melted butter.

  7. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and cheese is bubbling. If the edges brown too quickly, cover with aluminum foil.

  8. 8

    Rest and Serve

Let the Philly steak bake rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Slice into servings and serve warm.
